Hengsheng Heavy Industry Supports Infrastructure Development in Ghana, West Africa: From Online Inquiry to Factory Visit and Successful Delivery
With Ghana’s rapid urbanization accelerating across West Africa, a major construction machinery trading company in Ghana reached out to Hengsheng Heavy Industry through Alibaba.com. Initially, the customer was impressed by the high-definition operation videos of the HS15 (1.5-ton class) mini excavator, as well as the detailed third-party inspection reports displayed on our Alibaba storefront.
After nearly one month of online technical communication and solution discussions, the customer decided to travel to China and conduct an on-site inspection of Hengsheng’s headquarters and manufacturing base in Hebei Province.
On-Site Factory Tour Showcasing Advanced Manufacturing Capability
In the autumn of 2025, the Ghanaian customer delegation arrived at Hengsheng. Our team guided them through the entire production line, providing a comprehensive view of Hengsheng’s manufacturing strength—from laser cutting workshops and fully automated welding robots to precision hydraulic system assembly facilities.
At the testing and demonstration area, the customer personally operated the HS15 mini excavator, which had been optimized specifically for tropical high-temperature environments. When the customer observed Hengsheng’s reinforced design improvements—such as an upgraded cooling system and strengthened undercarriage structure to withstand West Africa’s demanding working conditions—they immediately confirmed the cooperation and signed the first order for 15 units on-site.
Smooth Delivery to Tema Port and Successful Project Deployment
The first batch of machines was successfully delivered to Tema Port in early 2026. Since the customer had personally participated in the factory inspection and pre-shipment testing, they had strong confidence in Hengsheng’s product quality and performance.
Today, these machines have been deployed in municipal water and infrastructure projects in the suburbs of Accra, Ghana’s capital. According to customer feedback, the HS15 demonstrated digging power and productivity far beyond expectations, even in hard soil conditions.
A Successful “Online Inquiry + Offline Factory Inspection” Cooperation Model
This successful cooperation model—combining online inquiry and technical negotiation with offline factory verification—not only strengthened Hengsheng’s reputation in the West African market as a brand known for high cost-performance and strong manufacturing capability, but also laid the foundation for a long-term strategic annual purchasing partnership with the Ghanaian dealer.
